Program of emotional stabilization of injuries

War is a terrible event that brings destruction, loss and suffering. Вона каличить
not only the body of people, but the soul, leaving deep psychological trauma. It is especially difficult for the war to be experienced by the most vulnerable sections of the population, such as children and mothers.

Today, in the work of psychologists and psychotherapists, there is a question in the first place, which can be defined as “war trauma”. This is a complex concept that includes loss trauma, witness trauma, participant trauma, loss trauma and others.

Children who become direct witnesses of military actions can feel horror, fear, helplessness. They can see death and violence, lose loved ones, experience bombardment, shelling, evacuation.

Children who have experienced war have a high risk of developing PTSD. Symptoms of PTSD include intrusive memories of traumatic events, nightmares, avoidance of war memories, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and sleep disturbances. They also often experience anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, learning difficulties and socialization.

During the war, mothers bear a huge responsibility for the safety and well-being of their children.
They have to protect children from danger, satisfy their basic needs and at the same time cope with their own experience.

Mothers often feel guilty for not being able to provide absolute safety to their children. They can blame themselves for not protecting children from traumatic events,
that they couldn’t give them enough love and support.

Fathers who experienced war also risk developing post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety and other psychological problems. By improving your psychological state, often adults are no longer able to help children, usually the level of concern drops to “Аби був не голодний та в шапци..”

Of course, children of mothers who experienced war need qualified psychological help. Psychologists can help them process traumatic experiences, teach them how to cope
